This family of farmers have cared for the land for six generations and believe in low input and regenerative wine grape growing so they can share its goodness and protect it for many more generations to come.
At Starrs Reach Vineyard, what happens below the ground is equally as important as what happens above the ground. We work with our land using sustainable and innovative practices that enhance biodiversity, optimise soil health and allow our wines to tell the story of the land on which they are grown.

We are a local independently owned and operated hardware store located in Strathalbyn. We’ve been here for over 20 years’ helping the local builders and DIYers get the right stuff. We weren’t always H Hardware. Once upon a time, 37 East Terrace was originally Nelson Brothers. At that time the shop was little more than a tin shed and the store serviced the builders. However, as the building industry began to change, so did 37 East Terrace. The store got bigger and bigger and eventually Nelson Brothers changed to Strathablyn Homeworks. Taralee Orchards
Taralee Orchards is a family owned and operated bio-dynamic stonefruit orchard in the Wirrabara Forest. The farm is run by Paul, Raymon and Renae Kretschmer.
Our dried fruit range is all produced on farm. Picking the fruit by hand, slicing the fruits thinly and then packaging the 100% chemical/preservative free solar dried range is all completed by our family and farm workers. Sulphur dried fruit is dried under the summer sun, enhancing the flavour and the vibrant colour of the biodynamically grown fruits.
The orchard is managed with a strong focus on boosting diversity and aims for continual enhancement of soil, tree health and vitality. Each year we strategically plant a variety of fruit and native trees which suit the soil type and topography of the orchard. We grow our own oranges, apricots, lemons, figs and source other fruits as locally as possible but always from within Australia.
We bring to you a fresh and unique taste experience. Our style of glace fruit is produced with the aim to capture the true taste of Aussie fruit. The Fruit Kitchen has created a product full of fruity flavour but with a different look to the long - established glace product. We invite you to drop a little syrup and a piece of fruit into your next glass and enjoy the freshness.
Alongside the glace fruit we offer dehydrated fruit straps we call Fruit Squares. They are all fruit with no nasties, kids of all ages will love them. Sulphur and Preservative FREE.

The Meal Pantry
The Meal Pantry is a collaboration of friends who are also food and beverage managers or chefs.
In March 2020 hospitality venues in Australia were closed to on premise dining as a result of COVID-19.
In the subsequent weeks we found ourselves separated from older family members and friends who had sensibly gone into isolation. Where only the previous week we would prepare and share food for and with them, they were now literally on their own.
At this point we decided to combine our commercial food experience with our home cooking recipes.
We are passionate about food. We have all grown up in households where weekends are spent cooking, entertaining and sharing food.
The Meal Pantry menu has started with our old family recipes, contemporary favourites, and a few takeaway icons.
We have brought our home recipes into the commercial kitchen,

Toolunka Creek Olives - Toolunka Estate
Toolunka Creek Olives was started In 2004 by Craig McClory and Andrea Chick who discovered Toolunka Creek whilst on a houseboat holiday in the Riverland the previous year. From their search for the ideal waterskiing property came a gradual transition from city life to farm life.
Growing olives however, was not originally their first thought as their focus was on the ideal holiday destination for the family. The property was originally what might be classed as a fruit salad farm with many different types of stone fruit and citrus. There was however a small olive grove on the property and this is where the fun started.
The first harvest of olives went to market as fresh fruit which to put it quite bluntly did not result in shall we say, reward for effort. However they could now boast of the ability to grow, harvest and pack table olives. The following year’s harvest was the start of something new.

Vineyard Road Wines
DOWN THE VINEYARD ROAD...
As the timeless adage goes, great wine is made in the vineyard. No one understands this better than the team behind Vineyard Road, which was created in 2016 by The FABAL Group, a company who have 30 plus years’ experience managing over 1700 hectares of vineyards across Australia and 25 in winemaking, commemorating exceptional vintages with special bottlings.
Following decades of successfully growing grapes in some of Australia’s most premium winemaking regions, namely Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Padthaway, Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek (all South Australia), Margaret River (Western Australia) and Heathcote (Victoria), the team at FABAL decided to select small parcels of fruit from some of their favourite vineyards to bottle under their own brand, Vineyard Road.
Considering that nearly any road in these premium wine regions is heading towards one of their 20 estates, the name ‘Vineyard Road’ seemed apt.
