Mallee Estate
Peter and Eleni Markeas migrated to Australia in the early 1960’s from Kardamili in Greece in search of properous new life. This sunburnt country that they fell in love with gave them the opportunity to work towards their dream of owning their own vineyard and making wine.
After after 30 years of experience developing their vineyards, the family focus expanded to producing quality wines in 1998.

Mannum Dock Discovery and Visitor Information Centre
The Mannum Dock Discovery Centre is located on the banks of the River Murray in the historic river port town of Mannum, South Australia. The Discovery Centre incorporates the Mannum Visitor Information Centre, Paddle Steamer Marion, Paddle Wheeler Mayflower, the historic Randell Dry Dock, and the Key’s Beam Engine.
The Mannum Dock Discovery Centre and associated product offer excellent tourism experiences. An attraction in its own right the Discovery Centre focuses on river history showing the preservation of life on the River Murray and surrounding areas. Displays follow the life of the Murray River from its birth, showcasing fossilised sea creatures that once inhabited the Murray River area when it was an inland seabed; the occupation of the Aboriginal people, and Ngarrindjeri dreaming; the coming of white settlement and the birth of Mannum as a settlement, the start of the river trade, its growth and the important part it has played in our history.
