Lévrier Wines by Jo Irvine
As a second-generation winemaker, Jo Irvine had her career begin at a very early age. Jo followed her father around the winery. This was her first experience in undertaking the ritual tasting of ferments and wine blending.
Then, as often happens she ended up pursuing a very different career as a theatre nurse. Life went the full circle and in the early 90’s she went to University to pursue her enduring passion for winemaking developed all those years earlier. A few years later and working six vintages straight in both the Barossa Valley and California USA, she made her passion her career.
In 2014, Jo's dream of her own brand began and by late 2017 Lévrier Wines by Jo Irvine was born .
Levrier, a French word meaning Greyhound, combines her love of winemaking and the advocacy she has for the greyhound breed as pets, which has been a major part of her life for over twenty years. Lincoln Rural Supplies commenced their business in Port Lincoln on the 1st June, 1986, initially operating from a disused former transport company depot. Being a family owned and operated business, and building this new venture on the very sound business principles of total client service and satisfaction, our business flourished.
In April 1990, we opened our second store at Cummins, a town some 70kms from Port Lincoln. With two strategically positioned outlets, we could better service our supportive clientele on the Lower Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.
Early 1992, we were fortunate to secure a much larger premises in Port Lincoln more suited to our ever growing needs, and we completely re-built this store in 2005 to the client friendly and vibrant store it has now become.

Mannum Dock Discovery and Visitor Information Centre
The Mannum Dock Discovery Centre is located on the banks of the River Murray in the historic river port town of Mannum, South Australia. The Discovery Centre incorporates the Mannum Visitor Information Centre, Paddle Steamer Marion, Paddle Wheeler Mayflower, the historic Randell Dry Dock, and the Key’s Beam Engine.
The Mannum Dock Discovery Centre and associated product offer excellent tourism experiences. An attraction in its own right the Discovery Centre focuses on river history showing the preservation of life on the River Murray and surrounding areas. Displays follow the life of the Murray River from its birth, showcasing fossilised sea creatures that once inhabited the Murray River area when it was an inland seabed; the occupation of the Aboriginal people, and Ngarrindjeri dreaming; the coming of white settlement and the birth of Mannum as a settlement, the start of the river trade, its growth and the important part it has played in our history.
