Creative Beginnings

Creative Beginnings — Live Love Create

Discover the joy of making something beautiful at Creative Beginnings, offering welcoming, beginner-friendly art workshops in McLaren Vale and across South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula.

Led by local artist and creative facilitator Kerry, our workshops bring people together through colour, creativity and connection. Whether you’re trying something new, enjoying time with friends or celebrating a special occasion, you’ll receive friendly guidance and encouragement to make your creation your own. No previous art experience is needed!

Our creative experiences include:

• Resin art workshops — create practical pieces such as cheeseboards, trays, clocks and other homewares.
• Resin jewellery workshops — design your own wearable art using beautiful colours, bezels and moulds.
• Sip and Paint or Create and Paint sessions — explore painting in a relaxed, social setting.
• Create Together workshops — creative time for adults and children to enjoy together.
• Private celebrations — birthdays, bridal showers and gatherings with friends.
• Workplace wellbeing and team-building workshops.
• Individual and group creative sessions for NDIS participants, older adults and aged-care communities.

Our studio is now based in the historic Tsong Gyiaou Homestead at the back of the McLaren Vale Hospital site, with additional workshops held at local venues, including Magpie Springs Winery and McLaren Flat Community Club.  Mobile workshops can also bring the creative experience to your own venue.

Meet Kerry

With over 14 years of experience working in aged care, including facilitating creative groups, Kerry has seen how making art can spark conversation, build confidence and create moments of joy. She brings warmth, patience and a love of creativity to every session, helping people feel comfortable exploring something new.

Creative Beginnings Art also creates original artwork and handcrafted resin homewares — unique pieces made with care and a little sparkle.
