Creative Beginnings offers fun workshops in McLaren Flat & other local areas, perfect for beginners with multiple mediums, together with the family they handcraft quality art & homewares for sale, hand made in our home studio at McLaren Flat, SA.
Meet the artist Kerry… Art and crafts has always been a part of her life, whether it is painting, card making, sewing, renovating or restoring furniture. She finds it therapeutic to create. After working in a demanding role within aged care for 14 years, her passion for art became her personal therapy, it was here that she facilitated art to groups to over 65’s & first-hand saw the real benefits for those attendees, within the sessions there were as expected moments of fun and social connectivity, but also moments of silence where collectively the group were focused in a natural meditative state. She always knew this was a special time however it wasn’t until undertaking Neurolinguistics training & hypnotherapy that she realised how important these moments are for everyone's wellbeing.
Meet the maker Jay… along with working in air-conditioning, makes time to source the best wood either new or old restoring to make handcrafted cheeseboards, clocks or tables for our resin classes.
Beck our tech designer… works as a vet nurse, and loves her animals, reading and baking, along with the tech help she fell in love with the addictive resin art, and enjoys making products for our store from time to time.
Where possible our products are sourced within Australia, our quality resins and pigments are low odour.
We pour love into our products to give you high quality items.

Workshops:
Come and join a fun filled resin art workshop where you can create your own beautiful piece of practical artwork! During your session you will be shown a demonstration from start to finish of how to create your piece and will be provided with everything you need, including a wide range of colour pigments to choose from. Resin art workshops generally take three hours and places are limited to maximum eight people per session. Your completed work will be available for pick up after 24 hours. So bring your friends along for few hours of messy fun and come out with a personalised art piece that is sure to impress, created entirely by you!

Offering a range of art sessions:
- Mandala art
Your staff will learn the origins of this ancient meditative art form along with the simple techniques to use to increase drawing skills where intuitive patterns emerge while we meditate while growing the Mandalas, each piece will be unique & a beautiful art work for your staff to take home & practice meditation at home.
- Watercolour painting
Participants will connect with their inner child while we use these lovely paints to create a landscape painting along with a few extra techniques they can share with their families.
- Acrylic painting
Your staff will feel like a real live artists while painting on easels, various options of inspiration to choose from, a treelined lane, a happy sunset or pretty flowers… The live demonstration will provide inspiration & encourage individuality.
- Alcohol Inks
Super fun & the messiest of all, your staff will be mesmerised by the magic of these vibrant colours, we create abstract designs & learn techniques to paint dragonflies or flowers. Table cloths & gloves are supplied to protect your space!

WORKSHOPS:
Due to limited spaces a non-refundable deposit of $30 is required to secure your spot. If you do need to reschedule your booking please contact Kerry direct upto 24hrs prior to your event, all balances are to be paid on the day at your workshop.
To ensure the safety of others we follow a Covid plan, if you present with symptoms on the day, please contact Kerry direct prior to your scheduled time to arrange a reschedule. Cancellations due to COVID restrictions will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient date when allowed.
To avoid delays in the workshop please arrive at the scheduled time (not too early as this is our home too!) & please note that if you do not show up on the day without prior notification the deposit is non-refundable.

RETURNS & REFUNDS:
Our customers are important to us, and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind, however, you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:
- Has a problem that would have stopped you from buying the item if you had known about it
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from the sample or description
- Does not do what we said it would, or what you asked for and cannot be easily fixed.
All products returned must be complete, in original packaging and as new. The customer must retain proof of purchase and proof of delivery for returned products. Incomplete or incorrect information may delay or cause your return to be rejected.
If you need to return an item, please contact us via email with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions on how to return items from your order.
GIFT CARDS:
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issuance. Cost of shipping is not included. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full. They may not be sold or transferred and cannot be redeemed to purchase gift cards. The terms and conditions of this gift card may be amended at any time at the discretion of Creative Beginnings Art and shall be binding on the customer. No replacement for lost or stolen gift vouchers.
