Megan Lyons is the daughter of esteemed artist Rini Tiger, and her father was the much-acclaimed Tiger Palpatja from Piltati in South Australia.
After moving his family from Ernabella to Amata he became well known as a Ngankari (traditional healer) and for his wood carvings or “punu”.
In this painting, Megan paints her Grandfather’s Tjukurra (or Dreaming) of Wanampi (giant mythical water serpent) associated to the Piltati Rockhole of her Grandfather’s birth Country
