GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Pinot Gris
REGION: Single Vineyard in cooler area of Eden Valley, Barossa. Approximately 400 metres above sea level.
SOIL: Ancient podzolic soil. Low fertility.
RAINFALL: 450-600 mm mostly between May to October
COLOUR: Pale straw
BOUQUET: Aromas of freshly cut nashi pear and apple.
PALATE: The Pinot Gris style is unique. Most wines are made without malo fermentation or new oak. I use 20% malo and 20% new French oak barrels, resulting in plush and juicy flavours with an elegant, soft, dry finish. Extended aging in barrel on yeast lees and bottle age before release integrates the unique characters of this premium Pinot Gris over time. The result is a complex wine that rewards the care and patience invested.
ALC: 13.0% Vegan Friendly
