Kies Family Wines were this month awarded a Silver Medal in the SA Tourism Awards up against some of the industry's giants. The cellar door is landlocked by internationally owned wineries and remains one of the last cellar doors in Lyndoch with generational German heritage.
The Kies family have been growing grapes in the Barossa Valley since the 1860's and the depth and quality of their wine range reflects this knowledge. All wines are single-vineyard and Estate grown, by 5th and 6th generation Kies family members.
This pack has been put together to say thank you to all those who choose to support local and buy Australian, so that profits remain here and can be reinvested back into our thriving community.

Named in honour of the second addition to the 7th generation, Polly Jean. Beautiful Polly came into the world after some tough times and this dry Sparkling Rosé Shiraz is a fitting tribute; vibrant and bubbly just like it’s namesake. The nose boasts aromas of strawberry and cream lollies, but don’t be fooled this beauty has a crisp dry finish. One bottle will not be enough!

The Barossa Valley is very well known for producing some of Australia’s finest Shiraz wines and the Klauber Block is no exception. This sensational Shiraz produces good rich Barossa lift, with dark red berry, black pepper and spice on the palate, owing to its 20 months spent in 40% new French & American oak barrels. The Klauber Block Shiraz will grow with time in the cellar.

The finished wine was matured over 2 years in 30% new French and American oak hogshead barrels, which has given it a robust structure. It is an elegant but full flavoured Barossa Shiraz, balanced perfectly with floral notes and plum with light oak overtones. A big wine with long flavours and rewarding characteristics, full of fruit balanced by abundant soft tannins.
