Wirrun, the Aborigine boy, was working in a pub when the summons came from his People. In the centre of the land they had noticed strange things happening: a water hole was drying up, while in another, barren place the flowers were blooming. And the spirits were wandering far from their proper places. The People were disturbed, and they send for Wirrun because he had dealt with the land and it's spirits before, and was known as a Hero. Wirrun was unwilling to go. He didn't feel big enough to live up to the name Hero, and beside's, he had trouble of his own - a song that lured and haunted him, drifting into his mind from nowhere, calling him.
