Although traditional Chow Mein is a heavily noodle based dish my version is abundant with cabbage and rice. Very tasty mid week meal that can be served with or without meat. All you need to do is add water and cook on the stove, in the oven or in a slow cooker. My family does enjoy meat and we have had this with mince, sausage or chicken added. Serves 3 as vegan dish and serves 4-6 with added meat. Gluten free and has no preservatives.
